The Guardians of the Road project has been revitalized with an updated application designed to offer a more user-friendly and enhanced experience.

Launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road - the road of all of us" project aims to heighten awareness and serve as a deterrent for safe driving practices on our roads. As of January 1, 2023, the project is now managed by the "Safe Path" association.

Anyone over the age of 18 can participate by downloading the "Road Guards" app and begin documenting traffic violations effortlessly.

Using the app is straightforward and efficient: before you start driving, simply activate the app. When you witness a traffic violation, engage the reporting feature. You can report the violation in one of two ways: through a voice command or by pressing the Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will then commence recording and capture the description of the offense.

These recordings are forwarded to a control center staffed by volunteer controllers who are highly experienced in traffic management. Following review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the individual captured in the recording, including a link to the video evidence of the violation. In cases where the violation poses a significant risk to life, the report is escalated to the police for further action.
