Upgrades & Customization:

While largely free-to-play, optional upgrades enhance your experience. Choose your starting faction and territory size, engage in fantasy battles between any two cultures using as many warriors as your device allows, and even customize each of the game's (up to) 1,000 regularly refreshed characters.

Intuitive Controls:

Control individual characters using either the classic single-handed or dual-wield control schemes. A pause function and in-game hints (via scrolls and books) are available. Switch between controlled characters by tapping their health meter or directly selecting them on the battlefield. Activate "Commander" mode to issue broad strategic orders by swiping from one unit's location to another. Zoom in/out with a pinch gesture.

Strategic Gameplay & Map:

Expand your territory in the main "Campaign" mode by moving units between connected areas. Fortify existing territories or conquer rivals, bearing in mind that only half your units are available for movement from any given location (making defense easier than invasion). Territorial populations grow after each round, so controlling numerous territories is key. Units also regenerate over time, encouraging varied strategic deployment.
