Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game
Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for families and friends. This turn-based game supports up to four players, offering engaging gameplay whether you're playing solo, in pairs, or with a larger group. The goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all your cards.
Gameplay involves matching the color/suit or number/rank of the previously played card. If a player has no matching card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a playable card, a player can choose to draw instead.
Special Cards:
-
2: When a 2 is played, the next player must draw two cards. If they also have a 2, they can choose to play it (forcing the next player to draw four), or draw two cards and save their 2. This continues until a player without a 2 draws the cumulative number of cards.
-
7: Playing a 7 allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.
-
10: The player who plays a 10 must immediately play another card. If the 10 was their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.
-
12: (3 or 4 players only) Playing a 12 skips the next player's turn.
The game ends when a player plays their last card (with slight variations if the last card is a 2 or 10), and that player is declared the winner.
Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:
- 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
- 10 Espadas (Syouf)
- 10 Oros (D'hab)
- 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)
Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
Hez2 is fun for everyone! Enjoy the game!
