Deltarune Chapters 3 & 4: Console Testing Update and Save Transfer

Undertale creator Toby Fox has provided a progress update on the console testing phase for Deltarune Chapters 3 and 4. While significant work remains, the process is reportedly progressing smoothly.

Save Transfer Feature in Development

Fox's Bluesky post confirms ongoing console testing, noting fewer bugs but a substantial amount of content to review. He specifically mentioned that PS5 testing hasn't yet begun. A key development is the integration of save file transfer from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo. This feature, recently made possible by acquired technology, will allow players to carry over their progress to the full release. "I hope it works!" Fox added.

With beta testing showing positive results, a release date may be approaching. Fox previously confirmed a 2025 release window for Chapters 3 and 4.

A New Character: Tenna

Amidst the development, Fox shared a humorous anecdote about a minigame he's working on, which his family and friends interpreted as a "cry for help" due to the game's delayed release. This prompted speculation that the minigame might be intended for Chapter 5, given Fox's earlier statement that Chapters 3 and 4 are content-complete.

More significantly, Fox mentioned a friend's comment, "I miss Tenna," revealing a previously unannounced character. Tenna was first hinted at during the Spamton Sweepstakes campaign in September 2022. This confirmation suggests Tenna will appear in Chapter 3.

Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, continues to build anticipation. Players will once again follow Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on their world-saving adventure.
