When Does the Splitgate 2 Open Alpha Begin?
Announced during February's PlayStation State of Play, the Open Alpha Test kicks off February 27th, 2025, on PC and consoles. The action concludes five days later, on March 2nd.

What Awaits You in the Splitgate 2 Open Alpha?
According to 1047 Games' Lead Writer, Nate Dern, the Open Alpha features crossplay and a brand-new 24-player mode: Multi-Team Portal Warfare. Three teams of eight battle on Splitgate's largest map yet, experimenting with new weapons, perks, and equipment.
The core gameplay revolves around the iconic portal mechanics, enabling mind-bending maneuvers and trick shots. While new classes/factions with unique abilities are introduced, the portal system remains central. Dern emphasizes that community feedback has significantly shaped Splitgate 2's development.
