Initially released in 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Resident Evil 6 received a remastered edition in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This new listing strongly suggests an upcoming release for current-gen consoles, likely encompassing both Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, though PlayStation 5 confirmation is still pending.
Interestingly, the game's genre description has changed. Previous versions were categorized as "third-person shooters," while the new ESRB listing designates it as a "survival horror" title.
