Escape the Cursed Forest: A Simple Non-Field RPG

Embark on a unique RPG adventure as a seasoned hunter trapped in a cursed forest. This non-field RPG focuses on strategic choices and resource management rather than complex combat. The game features minimalist controls – a maximum of three buttons at any given time – making it accessible yet engaging.

The Premise:

You, the village's best hunter, arrive at a hunting tournament only to find the forest eerily deserted. The only clues are the remnants of a large hunting party. Your quest? Escape the enchanted woods. You'll receive assistance from Foria, a mysterious quarter-elf, who aids your escape using the forest's ancient spirits.

Gameplay Highlights:

• Simple Controls: Navigate using intuitive, streamlined controls.
• Character Creation: While character customization is limited, you can freely reroll stats before starting the game. Status increases during leveling are only visible on this screen.
• Exploration: Uncover the forest's secrets by exploring unexplored areas. The success of your exploration depends on your character's stats and the area's "fog depth."
• Encounters: Face wildlife ranging from wolves to surprisingly aggressive frogs and rabbits. Defeating them yields materials for trading. Leveling up through combat isn't necessary; escape is the primary objective. Battles can be avoided entirely, though it requires skill and/or luck. Combat involves maintaining distance to shoot arrows, using wound medicine, or strategically escaping using Foria's "flash" ball.
• Crafting: Create and layer a cloak using collected materials (branches, resin, leather) to enhance your abilities. The cloak is your only equipment; your bow and arrows remain constant. Note that the top layer of your cloak can be damaged and eventually tear.
• Skill Selection: Choose from a variety of randomly presented skills.
• Resource Management: Gather materials, synthesize items, and manage your resources wisely.
• Auto-Save: The game features an auto-save system, but saving doesn't occur during battles. For a guaranteed save, exit to the base menu.
