Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Resolves Quest Issues, No Performance Boost Yet
Capcom has rolled out Monster Hunter Wilds hotfix 1.000.05.00 across all platforms, bringing crucial improvements and fixes to the game. This patch addresses various progression blockers and resolves numerous bugs, enhancing the overall gaming experience. However, players should note that the patch notes do not mention any performance improvements.
Despite its record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds still holds a 'mixed' user review rating on Steam, with many complaints focusing on performance issues on PC. Yet, the game's success is undeniable, having sold an impressive 8 million copies in just three days, making it the fastest-selling Capcom game to date. On Steam, it achieved the fifth highest concurrent player count ever, peaking at 1,384,608 players, surpassing the peak counts of Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring. In contrast, Monster Hunter: World reached a peak of 334,684.
A title update for Monster Hunter Wilds, slated for early April, is set to introduce a new endgame area for gathering and additional monster hunting content for players to enjoy.

IGN's review of Monster Hunter Wilds awarded it an 8/10, praising the game for refining the series' mechanics in smart ways, offering enjoyable fights, though noting a lack of real challenge.
